Deciding Registered Early Childhood Educators’ discipline and fitness to practise cases

Protecting children and the public

What we do

The Discipline and Fitness to Practise Committees protect the public, especially the children who are cared for by Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs).

The Discipline Committee makes decisions about accusations that an RECE committed professional misconduct. The Fitness to Practise Committee decides whether an RECE is incapacitated.

The Hearings Office supports the Committees in doing their work in in a way that is fair, transparent, and accessible.

Case Processes
